Account & Licenses

If you bought a 2B Played Music product from a third-party reseller, the license must first be claimed through our claim page before the product can be used. During the claim process, you can either link the license to an existing 2B Played Music account or create a new account. Once the license has been claimed successfully, it will appear in your account, where you can manage your activations.
Creating a 2B Played Music account is not a self-service option. An account can only be generated during the product purchase process via the checkout page.
After your purchase, you will receive an email from us with the subject line “Your 2B Played Music order is ready”. This email contains your license key(s), so we recommend keeping it for future reference. Your license key(s) are also always available in your 2B Played Music account under the Products tab.
Each license key can be activated on up to 3 devices. If you own multiple license keys for the same product, the available number of activations is combined. For example, if you have 2 license keys for 1 product, you can activate that product on up to 6 devices. You can manage your active devices in the Devices tab of your account. In the Products tab, you can view which licenses are active on each device.

This error usually indicates that your computer or local network is silently blocking the plugin from securely communicating with our license server. Even if your internet browser works perfectly fine, strict local security systems often block background network traffic coming directly from audio plugins or DAWs.

Common causes:

  • Security Software: Antivirus programs (especially HTTPS/SSL web shields) or strict Windows/macOS Firewalls.
  • Network Routing: Active VPNs, custom proxies, or ISP routing blocks.
  • System Clock: Incorrect Date & Time settings on your computer (this causes secure SSL connections to fail immediately).

Quick troubleshooting steps:

  1. Sync your clock: Ensure your computer’s Date & Time are set to ‘Automatic’ and the correct time zone.
  2. Pause security tools: Temporarily disable your VPN, proxy, or Antivirus web-shields just for the activation process.
  3. Change network: Try connecting your computer to a mobile hotspot to bypass your local router restrictions.

If your local security or ISP continues to block the online connection, simply use the Offline Activation option. This is a fully supported, permanent activation method built specifically for strict network environments. You can easily complete this process through the plugin interface and your 2B Played Music account.

Activating your plugin offline is a quick process. Just follow these steps to link your computer and download your license file:

  1. Get your Device ID: Open the plugin in your DAW and click “I’m Offline”. Copy or save the Device ID shown on the screen.
  2. Register your Device: Log in to your 2B Played Music account on our website and go to the Devices tab. Add and activate a new device using the Device ID you just copied.
  3. Assign your Plugins: Navigate to the Products tab and select which plugins you want to activate for this specific device.
  4. Download the License: Return to the Devices tab and export/download the offline license file to your computer.
  5. Complete Activation: Go back to the plugin, click “I’m Offline” again, and select the license file you just downloaded to finish the process.
Yes, plugin licenses can be transferred to another user. To begin the transfer process, please contact us through our contact page and include the order number for the product you wish to transfer, along with the new user’s email address, ZIP or postal code, and country. A transfer fee of €10.00 / $10.00 per plugin applies and is charged to the original customer.

Downloads & Updates

Product updates are always available in your 2B Played Music account under the Products tab. After logging in, you can download the latest available version of your product directly from there.
We announce product updates through our newsletter, so subscribing is the best way to stay informed. You can also check the Additional Information tab on the product page, where the current live version number is always listed.
If a product in your order is marked as EOL or Deprecated, it means the plugin is no longer maintained and is no longer available for purchase. EOL stands for End of Life, meaning the product has been discontinued. This also means there will be no further updates, bug fixes, or feature improvements. You may still be able to use the plugin, but compatibility with future operating systems, DAWs, or plugin formats cannot be guaranteed.

Installation & Payments

Please first restart your computer and check whether the plugin appears afterward. If the plugin still does not appear, your DAW may need to rescan its plugin folders to detect newly installed plugins. Please refer to your DAW’s manual or help section for instructions on how to perform a plugin rescan.
For Windows compatibility and proper functionality, our plugins require certain Microsoft support files known as the Visual C++ Redistributable Package. These files are often already installed on your system. If they are missing, they only need to be installed once on each PC that uses our plugins.
